This is one of the most famous Christmas songs of all time, and on that many of us have sung with great joy on Christmas Eve in many a candlelit service. This Christmas carol is absolutely glorious and it was such an honour [and so much fun!] to record, with all the soaring 'angel choirs' parts.... If you want a good history and theology discussion, look up the original nine verses of this Christmas hymn and you'll see why my songwriter soul simply had to carefully and diligently write new verses for some parts, trying to stay much closer to the timeline and accurate narrative of Jesus' birth as told in the scriptures.
