Ashes - Beautiful Instrumental Solo for Funerals and Lent (Orchestral Version)

"Ashes" is a mournful yet stunningly beautiful instrumental piece intended for use in funerals or memorial services. I am delighted to share the talents of Barbara J. Weber, who played violin and did additional orchestration on this special orchestral version of the song. You can see hear more of her work here: www.barbarajweber.com

For those who wish to have instrumental music for a moment of mourning or observance during a memorial service or funeral, Ashes is written with the utmost solemnity in mind and born out of personal experience with both earth-shattering grief and also playing for many funerals at my local churches. It might also be a good opportunity to encourage the talents of a young musician in your congregation who may find a meaningful ministry by preparing this song to share with the church during either a funeral or the Lenten season - currently I have a version made for cello, violin, and flute, but if there is another instrument you would find helpful, such as clarinet, just get in touch at staceyplayshymns@gmail.com and let me know what I can do for you.

You can save this song on your favourite streaming platform here. Thanks for listening!
