"Sing Praise to God in Winter Too" is a rare winter hymn that I found in a book so old that the original composer is not anywhere that I could find online, and this song is so rare that I don't think there are any recordings of it yet! I've had viewers writing in with requests for specifically winter hymns rather than Christmas, and this has proven to be a tricky thing to find, especially one that still is spiritual and praises God rather than being secular and only snow related. Sing along with the lyrics that speak of how God cares for the sparrow even in the cold of winter, and will care for us too! This video is full of the most adorable, fluffy sparrows in cozy evergreen trees, footage by several talented videographers but especially Ami Bornstein who did an amazing job capturing these wonderful little birds! Lyrics: Sing Praise to God in Winter Too
Sing praise to God in winter too,
He cares for every need
His hand from frost and stormy wind
Protects the tender seed
With downy snow He covers them,
They lie so warm and deep
They never mark the winter cold
Wrapped all in gentle sleep
Sing praise to God in wintertime
He guards and keeps from harm
The sparrow with His kindly gift
Her coat of feathers warm
He showery what her food shall be
A morsel there and here
And leads her where she finders them
By pathways far and near
Then praise the Lord all winter long
He cares for every need
All joy He gives and watcheth still
Our every step to lead
